Mbarara- President Museveni has raised concern over the mismatch in national development and household incomes.
Addressing residents of Kashari County, Mbarara
District on Tuesday, Mr Museveni said while his government has bolstered
national growth by improving infrastructure such as roads and
electricity, general household income has remained low.
“Look at Mbarara-Ibanda road; people were yearning
for it but have the household incomes of people living along this road
improved? Household incomes need to match this infrastructural
development,” he said.
He said this can be possible through modern and commercial farming and diversification of production.

The President said he would engage stakeholders
and leaders to see how best an acre of land can be optimally used to
maximise production.
